Death*10 April 1925Woniora Road, Hurstville, NSW, from chronic myocarditis, chronic nephritis and uraemia of 3 years duration. She was 68 years old. The Medical Attendant was Alfred C Thomas who saw her on the day she died. At the time of her death she left Arthur E 45 yrs, Elaine E 43 yrs, Pearl E 41 yrs, William R 38 yrs, James E 37 yrs, Percy H 34 yrs, Kate E 31 yrs, Clarice B 28 yrs and Edrick J 23 yrs living. The informant was her son E J Bryant of Woniora Road, Hurstville.

Death Notice - The Sydney Morning Herald 11th April 1925: BRYANT - April 10, 1925 at her late residence, 33 Woniora-road, Hurstville, Emmaline, beloved wife of Arthur Bryant, and mother of Arthur, William, James, Percy, Jack, Elsie, Kate and Belle, aged 68 years.3 
Burial*11 April 1925Woronora Cemetery, Sutherland, NSW, by Charles Kinsela, Undertaker. The Methodist Minister was William Stewart and witnesses were E E Murray and Philip Sommer.

Funeral Notice - The Sydney Morning Herald 11 April 1925: BRYANT - The Relatives and Friends of Mr ARTHUR BRYANT and FAMILY are kindly invited to attend the Funeral of his beloved WIFE and their MOTHER, Emmaline: to leave her late residence, 33 Woniora-road, Hurstville, THIS SATURDAY, at 3.15pm, for Methodist Cemetery, Woronora, via road, per motor service.4

The Marco Polo was the first clipper-style vessel constructed for bringing immigrants to Australia. The ship was built in Canada in 1851 and had a hull made of the best softwood. Captained by James Nicol Forbes, the Marco Polo made its first voyage from Liverpool to Port Phillip Heads in 1852 in the record time of 68 days. Forbes pioneered the 'Great Circle Route', sailing far south in the Southern Ocean, where he could catch the strong, icy Antarctic winds.
Captain J.N. 'Bully' Forbes became renowned in shipping circles for record sailing times and for compromising passenger well-being. On this first voyage an outbreak of measles and influenza in icy conditions led to the deaths of 51 children and two adults.
The Marco Polo offered luxury for first-class passengers, whilst below deck the majority were squeezed into cramped and uncomfortable steerage berths where food and hygiene were of poor quality. (http://museumvictoria.com.au/journeys/ships_1850_70s.asp)

After three weeks she returned to London in another 76 days. This was the first recorded round trip in less than six months, or to be exact 5 months 21 days.
