                                     - THE FRENCH-BECKFORD HYPOTHESIS

                                        Research carried out by a Professional Jamaican Genealogist and others, 
                                        indicated that A.E. French, the mother of Eliza Thomasina Walsh was,
                                        with a high probability, Jane Charlotte Beckford. (See HYPOTHESIS)

                                        Accordingly, I have introduced this connection and included members of
                                        the French and Beckford families on this website, as part of the Briscoe-Walsh family.

  • August 2024         -   Several significant corrections to early ancestors in Morrison and Hutchison
                                   family trees have been made based on further research that identified
                                   previous erroneous assumptions.
                                   Additional photos of people, places, memorials and source documents.
  •  July 2022             -  Finally a significant update.
                                   A more extensive approach to story-telling has been taken this time.
                                   This has opened the door to more details and stories being added as
                                   they become known, so research, and this website, is never finished...
